Fire Station 31 is one of 36 Fire Stations located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
The department has 36 engines, 14 trucks, 8 rescues, 23 medic units, and 17 ambulances. Units are staffed by 1400
career firefighters.
Company 31 is located at 2610 Reston Parkway and is about 15 miles west
of Washington, D.C . Station 31 opened in September of 1979. Company 31 sits 5 miles east of
Dulles/Washington airport and 2 miles south of Reston town center. Company 31 is 0ne of six stations that make up the
1st battailon.
Professional Firefighters are assigned to Station 31 and staff an Engine and an Ambulance everyday
24/7. Station 31 is also the Headquarters for EMS 401.
